Frequently asked questions

Do you accept insurance? and what if I don’t have insurance?

Yes, we accept insurance. You’re welcome to call ahead and provide your insurance information so we can verify your chiropractic benefits before your visit.

If you don’t have insurance, no worries. We offer straightforward cash rates for the exam, adjustments, therapies, and digital X-rays, so care is always accessible.

How long is each appointment?

First Visit: If you’ve completed your paperwork online, plan for about 30 minutes for your exam and chiropractic adjustment. If you’d rather fill out paperwork at the Studio, please allow an extra 10-15 minutes.

Regular Visit: Follow-up chiropractic adjustments typically take 10 minutes or less.

Should I come if i’m sick?

Yes! Our goal is to support healing, and you don’t need to cancel if you’re not feeling your best. We’ve noticed that people who get adjusted regularly often get sick less often, and when patients do come in sick, many tell us their symptoms clear up faster after an adjustment. And the best part? We do it without any medication.

do you see babies or kids?

Yes, we do and it’s truly a joy to welcome little ones here at the Studio. We’ve been adjusting our own baby boy since birth. For newborns, adjustments are done with the Impulse Instrument, so there’s none of the “cracking” or “popping” you might expect with adult care. As your child grows into infancy, we may incorporate more hands-on techniques, always delivered with the gentlest touch.

what should I wear?

When you come in for care, you’ll often be lying on your stomach, back, or side. The right clothing helps you stay comfortable and allows us to give you the best adjustment possible.

Best Choices:

  • Comfortable pants, leggings, or shorts with a simple top

  • Stretchy, loose-fitting fabrics that move with you

  • Everyday clothes are fine if they’re not restrictive

Avoid if Possible:

  • Dresses or skirts - they can ride up when lying down and limit movement

  • Tight jeans, belts, or clothing with lots of buttons/zippers

  • Bulky sweaters or multiple layers

Why It Matters:

  • Lying on your stomach: The table shifts slightly forward, and loose pants/leggings make this more comfortable. A dress may ride up.

  • Lying on your back: Some adjustments involve bending your legs; stretchy pants or shorts allow this without restriction.

  • Side-lying positions: One knee may be bent, which is much easier in flexible clothing than in a skirt or tight pants.

what if i’m sore after the visit?

You may notice a bit of soreness after an adjustment, usually after your first treatment. It’s similar to the mild stiffness you might feel after exercising or using muscles you haven’t used in a while. As your joints move better and posture improves, the surrounding muscles and ligaments need time to adapt, which can cause some short-term soreness. We see this as a natural part of the healing process as your body adjusts to better movement and circulation, and in most cases, any soreness fades within 24 to 48 hours.

if I had surgery in the past, can I still get chiropractic care?

You can, but a conversation between the chiropractor and patient is always the best way to figure out what’s right. If you’ve had a microdiscectomy, laminectomy, or spinal fusion in your neck or lower back and are still experiencing pain, Cox Technic may be the most effective option for you.

Cox Technic is a gentle, non-force form of spinal adjustment designed specifically for conditions like post-surgical pain, disc herniations, stenosis, and arthritis. Instead of quick twists or thrusts, it uses a special table that allows the spine to be slowly flexed and distracted. This helps:

  • Take pressure off spinal nerves

  • Increase disc space and improve joint mobility

  • Reduce irritation around scar tissue from surgery

  • Promote circulation and healing in the spine

It’s especially helpful for patients who didn’t get full relief from surgery, or who want a conservative, drug-free way to manage ongoing pain.

what if i’m pregnant?

Pregnancy is such a special time, but it also brings a lot of changes to your body. As your belly grows, your posture shifts, and your ligaments loosen, it’s common to feel new aches and pains in your back, hips, or pelvis. Every stage of pregnancy is different, and we’ll adjust care to what feels best for you.

We use gentle techniques that are safe and comfortable for expectant moms. We have special tables and cushions designed for pregnancy, so there’s no pressure on your belly, and every adjustment is tailored to your comfort level.

Chiropractic care during pregnancy may help:

  • Ease back, hip, and pelvic discomfort

  • Improve mobility and balance

  • Support better alignment as your body changes

  • Reduce tension in the pelvis to give your baby the best space to grow and move

Many moms share that they feel more comfortable, more mobile, and simply more at ease after their visits. Our goal is to help you stay comfortable as your belly grows and your body adapts, so you can enjoy this special time with less stress and more ease.

what payment methods do you accept? can I use my credit card or hsa?

We accept a variety of payment methods to keep things simple and convenient. You’re welcome to pay with cash, check, or credit/debit card. We also accept Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) cards.
