“Here We Rest” Inspired Our Studio

A while back, a patient casually mentioned that there were no chiropractors left in Weyauwega. It’s a small town about 30 miles northwest of Oshkosh, where I’ve been part of a family chiropractic practice for the past eight years. Soon after, my wife and I drove to see the only building that had once housed a chiropractic clinic. The moment we walked through the doors, it just felt right. The space had great bones, beautiful natural light, and was surrounded by greenery. There was more than enough room to create something special, not just for chiropractic care but also for massage therapy and yoga.

We knew little about the town, so we started reading its history. The name Weyauwega comes from Native languages and means “Here We Rest.” Long ago, Native travelers would paddle the Wolf and Waupaca Rivers, stopping in Weyauwega to rest for the night. Just up the river was Waupaca—meaning “Tomorrow”—where they’d continue their journey the next day. It’s a peaceful, meaningful origin reflecting the area’s natural rhythm: pause, breathe, and move forward when ready.

We’re building Belville Studio as a place that honors that rhythm, where rest isn’t just a pause, but a path forward. Whether you’re coming in for chiropractic care, a relaxing massage, or a grounding yoga class, our goal is to help you feel at home in your body again. In a town rooted in rest, we’re here to carry that tradition forward, offering a calm, welcoming space where healing happens at your own pace.

Here's to new beginnings,
